Across the Mountain State, critical federal programs have been frozen — delaying projects that keep our water clean, protect public health, support jobs, and restore damaged lands.
WV Rivers and our partners are already feeling the impact. A grant through WV DEP to develop PFAS Action Plans was cut — a project we were directly involved in. As a result, not only has this important work stalled as DEP disputes the cuts, but we've lost three part-time staff in the Eastern Panhandle and had to cancel planned community meetings.
