Your advocacy two years ago helped secure an important protection for our WV State Parks and other public lands:
No new motorized trails in our State Parks, Forests, Wildlife Management Areas, and other state public lands!
Now, SB 711 threatens your hard work and threatens our State Parks and other public lands.
SB 711 removes the prohibition against new motorized trails in our state parks.
Just imagine - ATVs on the rim of Blackwater Falls, hunters and anglers no longer able to enjoy Wildlife Management Areas - the list goes on and on.
Off-road vehicles impact our air, water, and public lands. The trails are expensive to build and expensive to maintain.
Motorized trails are simply not a good fit in our WV public lands.
We need your help NOW. Please tell the members of the Senate Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure to Reject SB 711 and the committee substitute. Tell the Committee to please protect our State Parks from motorized vehicles.
Let the Senate Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure know you love our WV State Parks and our public lands -- with no motorized trails!
We just need few pieces of information to connect you with your representatives. We encourage you to personalize your comment to make an even greater impact.
