Greenbrier River Celebration
& Potluck Sign-Up
The Greenbrier River is threatened by construction of the Mountain Valley Pipeline. Join us as we come together as a community to have an interfaith water blessing and stand vigil to pray for the protection of the river. There will be opportunities to express concerns, and join together with prayer, music, art, dancing, and fellowship.
There will also be a chance to float and/or play in the river before the event commences at 2 PM. If you are interested in floating in a kayak, canoe, or float, please indicate that below and make sure to arrive at the James Graham House by 10 AM. From there, you will be shuttled to a put-in location and then float back to the Graham House.
Additionally, if you would to provide food or drink, please let us know below.
This event is hosted by WV Rivers Coalition, Greenbrier Watershed, Summers County Residents Against the Pipeline, and Preserve Monroe.
Date: Saturday, August 5, 2023
Time: 2 PM to 4 PM
