The Department of Energy (DOE) is accepting public comments assessng the environmental impact of the Appalachian Regional Clean Hydrogen Hub (ARCH2). Despite its name, ARCH2’s hydrogen production relies on fracked gas—bringing harmful environmental and public health risks to our communities.
Adding to concerns, the Biden administration’s sweeping energy investments in West Virginia are now clouded with uncertainty after the Trump administration froze federal funding for projects like ARCH2. The DOE has also canceled in-person public meetings, limiting opportunities for community input.
We need your voice! Tell the DOE to fully assess the dangers of fracking, pipeline infrastructure, and toxic emissions before moving forward with ARCH2.
Complete the form to submit a public comment calling for a full, transparent, and science-based review of ARCH2’s impacts. The comment period closes on March 3.
